Fiddler on the Roof B-Roll
Mixing Fiddler on the Roof presented a unique challenge. Unlike the American musicals, opera audiences are not seeking vocal clarity. Quite often there are super titles and the tonality of the voice take precedent. As a result, the structure of the opera house is not conducive to sound reinforcement. Carving out vocal clarity can be very difficult, especially in cast of forty-five. Even through the numerous challenges, Pete Wiejaczka design and my execution resulted in a clear and full musical.
